With the WALTER GROUP Campus, a new place for modern work, interaction, and collaborative forward thinking has been created in Wiener Neudorf. What began as a visionary construction project approximately three years ago is now the largest project in the company's history for the new CONTAINEX site. With a useable area of around 13,880 m², the new campus offers space for up to 800 employees. Open spatial layouts, abundant daylight, and innovative design create an environment that supports contemporary ways of working. Thus, far more than just a new office building has been created: a place that connects people and creates space for cooperation, innovation, and growth.
Sustainability is an integral part of the Campus. A comprehensive energy and climate concept combines high energy efficiency with a pleasant indoor climate. Around 100 geothermal probes and a photovoltaic system with around 133 kWp support the energy supply, while smart shading systems contribute to reducing the energy demand for heating and cooling. The outdoor areas are also sustainably designed: Green roofs, large green spaces, and two atriums contribute to a pleasant microclimate. Permeable parking spaces, cisterns with around 45,000 liters of storage volume, and a green noise barrier complete the concept. The building was awarded the ÖGNI Gold certification for its sustainable planning and implementation.
Many people are behind this special project: WALTER REAL ESTATEoversaw the development together with numerous internal and external project partners, from the initial idea to completion. Thus, from a shared vision, a working environment has gradually emerged that is more than a construction project. Now the Campus comes to life: The first CONTAINEX employees moved into their new workplaces at the beginning of July, the gradual relocation was completed in August. With this, a new chapter begins for the building – as a place where people enjoy working, meeting, and jointly shaping the future.
